In Reply.—
We certainly agree that there are practical, low-technology maneuvers to ensure that physicians provide the services that they would like to provide. Regardless of whether the proposed solution includes nurses or computer-generated reminders,1-3 our data1-3 emphasize that since well-intentioned physicians may not live up to their own expectations, they should welcome approaches to narrowing the gap between intentions and actual performance.
