In Reply.—
Soon after my article appeared in JAMA, a number of newspapers carried an interview with Dr Robert O. Voy of the US Olympic Committee in which he defended the sex chromatin screening procedure. He was quoted as saying that sex chromatin is only the first screening used and that he knows of no inaccurate results after a full examination (Champaign-Urbana News Gazette, Oct 10, 1986, p B5).
