—As a practicing forensic pathologist, a university professor of the subject, and a chief editor of a forensic medical journal (Forensic Science International), I find it very disappointing that my field (forensic medicine or forensic pathology) is not mentioned in CONTEMPO '87.¹ Forensic medicine is an important teaching subject for medical students and, in its special way, it is a link between all the other medical specialties.
