To the Editor.
—As a practicing forensic pathologist, a university professor of the subject, and a chief editor of a forensic medical journal (Forensic Science International), I find it very disappointing that my field (forensic medicine or forensic pathology) is not mentioned in CONTEMPO '87.1 Forensic medicine is an important teaching subject for medical students and, in its special way, it is a link between all the other medical specialties. I do hope that in the future similar surveys will also take forensic medicine into consideration.
