To the Editor.—
The Physicians' Desk Reference isn't the "be-all" and "knowall" of drugs manufactured by American pharmaceutical companies. The 1987 edition of the American Drug Index includes at least nine drug names, from Janimine (Abbott's brand of imipramine) to Junicoid (Jenkins' preparation of dextromethorphan), that do indeed begin with J.1
