I am in total agreement with Dr Zanetti's comment that although divers breathe compressed air, the percentage of oxygen they inspire may vary with the diving depth. The exact risk this poses to a previously bleomycintreated patient is not known. However, as pointed out by Dr Zanetti, these patients should be advised that theoretically there is a risk of developing pulmonary damage due to exposure to a higher partial pressure of inspired oxygen while scuba diving.
