In the January 16 A Piece of My Mind, Dr Goodwin¹ attacked the concept of euthanasia as universally a selfish act. Nothing could be further from the truth. No doubt there are times when the scenario plays out in the way that Dr Goodwin described. However, members of my family have asked for terminal relief and have been denied.
