To the Editor. —
Gellhorn's article1 points out that physicians who have received board certification prior to time-limited certificates will be exempt from recredentialing. These physicians may have been removed from training for the longest period and would surely benefit from the necessity to keep abreast of changes in their medical specialty. I am all for periodic recredentialing but feel that this process should apply to all physicians.
