To the Editor.—

The recent article by Cantor et al1 is of great interest to premedical students as well as medical educators. As medical education undertakes reforms, college students become increasingly excited about the field of medicine. The revised Medical College Admission Test and bold changes at Harvard Medical School are both hailed by premedical students. We feel that these changes better test and improve our ability to become good physicians. However, we wonder if enough fundamental changes will be made before we enter medical school. It is hoped that medical educators will proceed rapidly and efficiently in providing a revised curriculum. In return they are likely to receive highly motivated students who will embrace, celebrate, and benefit from the reforms. . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
