—We certainly agree with Dr Flach's note of caution. However, our experience with seven patients has been that only one required a repeat treatment. In addition, one of us (C.M.F.) has applied this specific anesthetic to thousands of patients during the past 10 years without untoward results. Only someone who has experienced trigeminal neuralgia personally can appreciate the benefit of the relief of pain in relation to the minimal risk.
