To the Editor.
—In a review of breast cancer treatment in the student-edited Pulse section of JAMA,1 the following statement was made: "Each year one in ten women is confronted with breast cancer...." I think not. It's bad enough that the author is a former president of the American Cancer Society, but the Pulse editor also seems to have been asleep at the switch.
