To the Editor.

—The two articles in the May 27,1992, issue^1,2 of JAMA purportedly put the matter of the John F. Kennedy assassination to rest. They do not. On the contrary, I do not recall ever having seen so many erroneous statements in so few pages. That Dr George Lundberg, the editor of THE JOURNAL, would give them the cachet of his approval and cooperation is difficult to understand.

Let me point out only a few of the glaringly erroneous assertions in Mr Breo's article:

1. He suggests that Dr Charles Crenshaw wasn't even in the room, so how could he know anything? Yet Crenshaw is identified at least five times in Volume VI of the Warren hearings as one of the attending physicians. He does have reason to know.
