To the Editor.
—I am writing with reference to the article by Rosenblatt and Silverman1 regarding the recovery, resterilization, and donation of unused surgical supplies. International donation of supplies is not practical for all institutions. A place where we can make donations of our unused surgical supplies is to the veterinary hospitals in our own communities. Many of the suture materials that are deemed unrecoverable for use might fit the bill very well for veterinarians who are hoping to hold costs down and provide excellent care to their clientele.
