In Reply.
—We appreciate Dr Orr's bringing us up short on the careless use of jargon. We used the catchwords "withdrawing care" because the phrase has become part of common usage. We agree that after intensive care interventions are withdrawn, we have left to offer only our humanity, compassion, and care. May we learn to use our human skills as well as we use our technical ones.
