To the Editor.

—The Haydarpasa Numune Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey, has been enthusiastically following the integration of medical knowledge into the Internet framework while keeping itself abreast of the advances in information technology. We have begun to set up a group of health care professionals to explore how to integrate the practice of medicine into the Internet framework and make medical practice more competent while adhering to the principle of patient confidentiality.

Like its counterparts the BMJ¹ and JAMA,² the 40-year-old Haydarpaa Numune Hospital Medical Journal has joined the variety of journals that are available on the Internet.³ Our journal can be accessed through the Haydarpasa Numune Hospital World Wide Web site at http://www.kilim.com.tr/ numune.
