—Drs Woloshin and Schwartz provide useful amplifications on our thesis that managed care organizations need to fulfill their social responsibility. Dr Lehman appears to be using the term "health care" in a rather narrow sense, that is, as the organizational mechanism that delivers health services. We believe that health care is a social good that is increasingly being distributed through market mechanisms.
