To the Editor.
—In the informative article by Dr Tucker and colleagues,1 it should be pointed out to clinicians that Figures C and D may be dysplastic nevi; however, particularly when other similar atypical-appearing nevi are not present in a given individual, the possible diagnosis of melanoma in situ or early invasive melanoma cannot be excluded without a biopsy.
