—The Twelfth Annual Meeting of this important organization is to be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, October 14-17, 1884, at St. Louis, Mo. The officers and executive committee are actively engaged in making all needed arrangements for a large and useful session of the Association. Special committees composed of active and eminent sanitarians are expected to report on the Management of Epidemics; on Vital Statistics; on Compulsory Vaccination; on School Hygiene; on Cattle Disease; and on Necrology. There will also be papers and discussions on many other subjects. We trust there will be a large attendance and a profitable meeting. The present active officers are: President, Dr. Albert L. Gihon, U. S. N., Washington, D. C.; Secretary, Dr. Irving A. Watson, Concord, N. H.; Treasurer, Dr. J. Berrien Lindsley, Nashville, Tenn.
