The differential diagnosis and operative treatment of tumors of the neck, are subjects which belong to the most imperfect and unsatisfactory topics in surgery. The great difficulties which are often encountered in the diagnosis of cervical tumors, and the importance of the anatomical structures which are involved in all operative procedures for their removal, val, are well known and appreciated by all who can speak from personal experience.
