Abstract

Simultaneous renal clearances of para-aminohippuric acid (PAH) and tracer doses of iodopyracet I 131 with added nonradioactive iodopyracet were performed in 20 patients by the continuous infusion technique. The mean iodopyracet I 131 PAH clearance ratio was 1.02. Sequential clearance studies suggested minimal competitive inhibition for renal excretion between PAH and iodopyracet I 131.
