Cardiopulmonary Failure of the Hunchback
A Possible Therapeutic Approach

Abstract
In a middle-aged man with cardiopulmonary failure secondary to severe kyphoscoliosis, skeletal traction produced improvement by roentgenographic, functional, and clinical criteria. Although an attempt to perpetuate this improvement by surgical spine correction was unsuccessful, it is thought that these therapeutic maneuvers should be attempted again in the absence of other definitive therapy.
