Abstract

Intracardiac ECG recording and stimulation are useful to evaluate conduction block, bradyarrhythmias, and tachyarrhythmias whose importance or mechanisms are uncertain from a surface ECG in the symptomatic patient. The technique is safe, with only rare complications. The response to medication can be tested during the procedure, helping to maximize the response to medical therapy.
